Website Privacy Statement
Aside from your inquiries through our About page, LPI collects no information about site visitors beyond what your browser shares with LPI’s web server. You can explore our site anonymously.
Organizational Privacy Statement
LPI collects only a minimum of identifying information about its clients. As a rule, this is predominately contact information (name, address, email address, and phone numbers) and information relating to your lighting costs (cost per kilowatt-hour, electrical maintenance costs). We keep this information for two years as a general rule. We keep financial information (credit card number, bank account numbers) for as long as the relevant financial transaction requires.
LPI does not share any information with third parties unless the law requires it, or you give your express consent.
LPI disposes of your identifiable information securely, either by shredding (paper-based storage) or appropriate hard disk erasing methods (electronic records). We employ appropriate safeguards (locks, passwords) to protect your information. We limit access to this information to staff having a need to view it.
LPI allows clients to view their records at a mutually convenient time. We charge a fee on a cost-recovery basis for this service and for the reproduction of records.
LPI would be pleased to address your privacy concerns directly. Simply contact us. If we cannot resolve your concern, please contact the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.
